My Story
This work didn't start in a classroom or training program. It started in my own body, demanding I pay attention.
As a teenager navigating complex trauma, I experienced debilitating symptoms—severe social anxiety, chronic IBS, and relentless neck and back pain. I spent most of my energy trying to avoid situations that might trigger them.
At fourteen, I discovered yoga and philosophy, and they became my anchor. These ancient practices offered the first possibility that my pain might have purpose, and that perhaps I could transform it into something meaningful.
Having grown up in a household marked by addiction and fighting my own patterns for years, I eventually realized something transformative: my symptoms weren't brokenness. They were adaptations—my body's way of holding early trauma, signaling when I was off course, and carrying what I couldn't yet consciously bear.
When I understood this, everything shifted. My symptoms became teachers, showing me I could work with embodied awareness to meet the unmet needs of my younger self. They taught me self-compassion and self-forgiveness, one small piece at a time.
This inner work became my healing path and, over three decades, evolved into my life's calling. My personal journey led to professional training in yoga therapy, somatic approaches, trauma healing, and depth psychology—but it all began with my own necessity.
My Approach to Healing
I don't approach this work as an expert with answers to dispense. I work relationally, with curiosity and care, helping people make sense of what their symptoms are responding to and how their lives are asking to change.
It's not about fixing you.
It's about finding you.
In our work together, you'll be invited to see yourself not as a problem to fix, but as a whole person worth understanding. We'll explore your physical symptoms, emotional patterns, and deeper questions from multiple angles—with respect for your pace and what feels right for you.
When emotions and pain are intense, calming the nervous system is often the first step—but it's rarely as simple as using a generic breathing technique. Different bodies respond differently, and what helps one person may overwhelm another. A skilled guide can help you understand your unique patterns and find regulation strategies that actually work for you.
Working with your symptoms rather than against them can begin to clarify what needs to change for life to feel more meaningful and aligned. Your body isn't betraying you—it's trying to communicate something important.
This work matters to me because I've seen what becomes possible when someone is truly seen, listened to, and supported in reconnecting with themselves.
