Join us for a retreat-style weekend where you’ll learn therapeutic secrets for addressing back pain in your future classroom settings. Each day will include kirtan, pranayama, meditation, asana class and practice teaching. You will learn about the kinds of back pain conditions your students are suffering from, and you’ll also learn to sequence, practice and teach:
How spinal load (pounds of pressure on the intervertebral discs) is affected by position, direction of movement and “the big hairy no-no’s” of yoga for back pain.
Breathing techniques which create supportive structure for the lower spine and relax chronically lifted shoulders
How to refine breathing techniques to address underlying stress and inflammation
Awaken “The Deep Front Line”, a group of muscles which act, in essence, like a sensory organ that can help you and your participants develop a greater relationship with gravity
Adaptations of asana for common complaints of the sacrum, low back, hips, upper back, neck and shoulders
Sequencing secrets for all of the above - without these it’s not therapeutic!
Bring one of your sequences!
We will adapt it with these new principles
You’ll get 18 CEUs, copies of all presentation materials, new chants, and lots of fun. (10 TTP, 3 TM, 3 AP, 2 YPLE)
